You wonder how to get there
despite your circumstances.
Yet nobody gets anywhere, except
by spiting the circumstances,
which, after all, can only
circum stand.
Circumstances are to opportunity
as walls are to a door.
Look not to walls,
but to ways.

I really like the analogy at the end of this poem. I also like the whole tenor of it and would like to see you expand it. This is a poem I would memorize no small feat for me after the strokes.
